Levels of Separation.
Often is the case that larger service organizations will have multiple service locations and/or multiple service
departments. These service centers may be separated geographically by physical location or logically separated
by differing function. Whichever the case, these service groups have a distinction between them; a level of
separation between each group that is important to maintain in a workflow solution.
Combining clientele, field
personnel or service information across different service groups is unnecessary and in many cases would confuse and obfuscate
workflow software usability.
For example, let's take a look at company ABC which has several service locations they dispatch from. Three of these locations include a south
Florida location, an east Texas location and a southern California location. In this scenario, field personnel are unique to each service location,
clientele locations are unique to each service location and job information is unique to each service location. Having dispatcher
software that combines all locations, field personnel and job information would be confusing for office personnel to sift through.
Company ABC doesn't want the east Texas office personnel to have the ability to see or edit south Florida or
southern California information. The goal is to have a level of separation at the office and field personnel level. However, upper
management needs the ability to view all information and print reports across all service locations at the same time from one
data repository.
In the above example, you could substitute the different physical locations with different service groups like maintenance, controls
and cabling and the issue remains the same. You want a level of separation between departments while allowing upper management the ability
to review all information in one place.
At Mobile FieldPro, we understand one size does not fit all. Our Workflow Management software was designed to handle
multi-tiered service organizations, allowing for the insulation of information from one group to the next. Clientele, personnel
and job information is only made available where necessary. In the Mobile FieldPro Manager component, you can set up users so they
only have a view to information they would need. Even though users only have access to restricted data, all information
from all groups is stored in one data repository. This gives you the built-in flexibility for unlimited configurations and reporting
options. Office personnel can review localized information while management can view company wide information.
